AI methodology for university teaching: teaching people to think with it

« Teach with method. Train with criterion. Certify the learning »

Your students already use AI — the question is whether they learn to think with it or to depend on it. SIMPLICITY LAB© is the methodology that decides which.

SIMPLICITY LAB© brings AI into the classroom without switching off critical thinking. The AI does not give answers: it forces students to justify their own.

The problem it addresses.

European universities face two risks. Ban AI and they fall out of the real world. Embrace it without criterion and they train people who cannot think alone.

The six-block laboratory.

A pedagogical architecture where theory is practised, AI is used with criterion and the classroom becomes a laboratory:

  • Block 1 · Theoretical framework: mastering the core concepts before touching any tool.
  • Block 2 · Sector cases: application to real sectors with verifiable public data.
  • Block 3 · AI with criterion: interactive tests, simulations and guided debates with AI as copilot.
  • Block 4 · Individual output: each student submits their own analysis, supervised by the lecturer.
  • Block 5 · Traceable assessment: explicit rubrics, reproducible scoring, blockchain certification of the result.
  • Block 6 · Give-back: learning returns to the real sector through publishable executive reports.

Three implementation levels.

SCOUT

Pilot in one subject. SIMPLICITY LAB© materials for a specific subject, lecturer training and supervision throughout a term.

BLUEPRINT

Area-wide rollout. Coordinated implementation across all subjects in an area (Macroeconomics, Sociology, Business). Includes planning.

ORBIT

Institutional transformation. The whole faculty or school running on SIMPLICITY LAB©, with an academic governance dashboard and reporting.

Certified on blockchain.

Public certification
SFG-CERT-2026-7831

The SIMPLICITY LAB© methodology has been registered on a public blockchain since April 2026. Each implementation receives its own hash.

Tested at the UDC.

SIMPLICITY LAB© is not theory: it is applied every term in real classrooms at the Universidade da Coruña, with real students and real results.

SIMPLICITY LAB manifesto
«AI should not think for the student. It should help them think better.»
