El Reglamento (UE) 2024/1689 — conocido como EU AI Act — entra en aplicación general el 2 de agosto de 2026, fecha en la que arranca su ejecución e incluye las obligaciones de transparencia del Art. 50. El paquete Ómnibus (acuerdo provisional de mayo de 2026) aplaza únicamente el alto riesgo del Anexo III al 2 de diciembre de 2027 (y el Anexo I a 2028). Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 — known as the EU AI Act — enters general application on 2 August 2026, when enforcement begins and the Art. 50 transparency obligations take effect. The Digital Omnibus (provisional agreement of May 2026) defers only Annex III high-risk obligations to 2 December 2027 (and Annex I to 2028). Few firms know which obligations affect them, to what degree, and how much remains to be done.
